Hey George,
Peter will likely pipe in an provide more details, but I'll try to
provide some.
You can develop your Python-based apps in either the simulator or on
device, and there are ways to do so while running the app live. I'm
unsure if Peter got that working with Tart.
Unfortunately, it would be difficult to run the QML directly on the
developer system. Back when we were using Qt, this was certainly
possible. However, bb.cascades is a proprietary technology that exists
only on the device and simulator. Bringing it over to the dev-system is
impossible.
I know Peter usually develops in Windows, but I typically develop in
Ubuntu, and I can tell you that you can certainly develop and deploy
completely from this environment, provided that you're deploying to a
simulator or device.
